Moving into Springtime

It has been a very stressful time for me, losing my precious Chia. She was almost 17 and had congestive heart failure. My husband, the vet, gave her sedation, and she fell asleep in my arms before he took her away to euthanize her. He said she passed easily and peacefully. I was beyond devastated, and the next morning, we went to PomHaven in Canada and brought home a beautiful 3 month old puppy.

Chia on a shopping tour.
Chichi settles right in.

I am still feeling so sad to have lost Chia, but Chichi makes me laugh and is helping me to recover. She and I will be back in Florence early April and I will have fun introducing her to all of my friends there. She loves everyone! I was so lucky to find her on short notice. She weighs 2.5# and will be about 4# when she is full grown. As one of my friends said: Chichi has some big paws to fill.
