With temperatures climbing into the 90’s in Florence, it was time for me to return to Seattle for the summer. Too hot to shop!

Despite the hot weather, the Florentines donned their traditional costumes and went on parade. This parade is part of the festival of San Giovanni (John, the Baptist) , patron saint of Florence.

Before traveling back to the States, we needed to obtain a, “well animal,” certificate for Kiki from her veterinarian, Dr. Francesco Coralli.

Back in Seattle, we are enjoying the beautiful cool weather. Kiki will participate in several dog shows next week, so we are busy training. Dr. Coralli assured us that she is sure to be a winner!
